Q.6(a) “A farmer wishes to cross a river taking her fox, goose and grain with her. She can use a boat which will accommodate only the farmer and one possession. If the fox is left alone with the goose, the goose will be eaten. If the goose is left alone with the grain, the grain will be eaten.”
Draw a state space search tree for the problem above using left bank and right bank to denote left and right river banks, respectively.
(b) Write schemata for default reasoning using the following statements:
(i) If some one is an adult and it is consistent to assume that adults can vote, infer that the person can vote.
(ii) If one is at least 18 years old and it is consistent to assume that one is physically fit and who passes a test may obtain a driving licence, that such a person can obtain a driving licence.
